McTavish's Scottish Shows

McTavish's Scottish Shows

For twenty years or more, McTavish's served traditional Scottish food and staged nightly Scottish shows, including Highland dancing, fiddle and accordion music. They also ran The Mantrap, one of Oban’s most famous pubs, now sadly no longer open.

Gateway to the Isles

Oban is best known as the gateway to the Hebridean islands. The View is located in the town centre, close to the transport hub, overlooking Oban bay and nearby seafood restaurants that cluster nearby the harbour.

Seafood Capital of Scotland

With a variety of marine and land based environments, unsurpassed in Scotland, Oban benefits from world-class seafood, shellfish, aquaculture and tourist attractions.

Argyll and the Isles

Oban is the largest destination within Scotland’s Adventure Coast, where mountains, beaches, lochs, islands and forests provide an awe-inspiring setting.

The Heart of Soul of Scotland can be found from Glasgow to Argyll, where you have glorious coastal region with glittering sea lochs, islands, hills, forests and glens just waiting to be explored.
