For twenty years or more, McTavish's served traditional Scottish food and staged nightly Scottish shows, including Highland dancing, fiddle and accordion music. They also ran The Mantrap, one of Oban’s most famous pubs, which we have also succesfully reopened.
Oban is best known as the gateway to the Hebridean islands. The View is located in the town centre, close to the transport hub, overlooking Oban bay and nearby seafood restaurants that cluster nearby the harbour.
Seafood Capital of Scotland
With a variety of marine and land based environments, unsurpassed in Scotland, Oban benefits from world-class seafood, shellfish, aquaculture and tourist attractions.
Oban is the largest destination within Scotland’s Adventure Coast, where mountains, beaches, lochs, islands and forests provide an awe-inspiring setting.
