Oban Live 2019 Launch Party

West coast outdoor music concert Oban Live, the biggest of its kind in Argyll, officially launched their 2019 event at The View in Oban last night.

120 people attended the event’s free one-hour launch party which included prize giveaways, including VIP tickets, and live music from local band Ceol an Aire. Many also stayed on for longer to party at The View’s Ceilidh night event after.

The audience also got to see an exclusive preview screening of a new Oban Live film, directed and filmed by Dòmhnall Eòghainn MacKinnon and featuring Oban High School Pipe Band. The advertisement, which heavily promotes Oban as a destination as well as the music concert itself, is to go live on social media on Saturday November 10, the same day as Early Bird tickets for the 2019 event go on sale.

Daniel Gillespie, Managing Director for Oban Live said: “The success of our launch party is a true reflection on how supportive our Oban Live community of friends, fans and partners are. We couldn’t do this event without them. A great turn out, a great night. Thank you to everyone who came along and congratulations to our raffle winners.”

He added: “Particular thanks to the team at The View for hosting. We are delighted that The View will be the official after party for Oban Live 2019 and look forward to working with them over the coming months.”

A limited number of discounted “Early Bird” tickets for Oban Live 2019 go on sale at 12pm on Saturday November 10 via www.obanlive.com.
