Choose Your Products Carefully

“you might not understand the ingredient list”

So what do we mean by sustainability? Well to me it means trying to weigh up all the information to work out the best way of doing something to protect the environment that is within your control and your means (financial or otherwise).

When you buy a product, for example, a skin care product, there is a lot to consider.

You might want to make sure the product uses natural ingredients and it is not always easy to tell.

Sometimes you might not understand the ingredient list which legally must use the INCI names (International Nomenclature Cosmetic Ingredient).

You could use an app such as ‘Think Dirty’ which is free, easy to use, and comprehensive. It offers incredible and careful detail about what is in your personal care products and makes it easily understandable.

You might want to check out if it is an eco-accredited product (see below) and whether the company has a sustainability or eco policy statement on their website.

At Skirr Skin I make sure we choose organic ingredients when ever possible and that all our ingredients are of natural origin.
