Programme overview

This one day programme is designed to promote professional, responsible standards throughout the licensed trade in Scotland. Highly participative with certification awarded on completion of a multiple-choice test at the end of the course. Enabling the application for a Personal Licence on completion to allow supervision of sale of alcohol.

Who should attend?

All owners, managers and supervisors in the Licensed Trade. Those who are Named Premises Managers on a premises licence application must have this qualification.

Suitable for all existing Personal Licence holder, this is a refresher course that must be undertaken within 5 years of being issued your original licence. Course content is specified by the Scottish Government and covers an introduction to licensing, responsible operation of licensed premises, and the effect of irresponsible operation on society and health. It is assessed formally with a 40 question multiple choice exam at the end of the training session and the Certificate is awarded and accredited by City & Guilds for the purposes of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005.

This course is also available by e-learning.

Where an organisation’s risk assessment of First Aid needs identifies that there is a requirement for Emergency First Aid at Work practitioners, then this national award in Emergency First Aid at Work satisfies the requirements of the regulatory body for First Aid – the Health and Safety Executive.

All learners will have the skills and knowledge to provide the organisation with Emergency First Aider’s that can provide treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner and will receive a certificate upon successful completion, from the awarding body First Aid awards Ltd.

Cost

This one day, highly participative programme costs £125 plus VAT per delegate, with course registration, certification and light refreshments included.
