Oban Walking Tours

Join our fully trained and qualified guides on a walking tour around Oban. Learn about the town's history and heritage, the Victorian entrepreneurs who shaped the town, Oban's stone age past and the myths and legends of ancient Argyll.

Our tours leave from outside the VisitScotland iCentre near North Pier with tickets available to purchase online or from the ticket desk on the day.

Seafood Capital of Scotland

Our fun and fact filled stroll around the town takes in Oban's top sights including Oban distillery and Dunollie Museum, Castle and Grounds. If you wish we can climb Jacob's Ladder to McCaig's Tower or take the ferry to Kerrera for a walk to Gylen Castle.

Follow in the footsteps of Queen Victoria, Boswell and Johnson, Sir Walter Scott, Robert Louis Stevenson and other prominent Victorians.

Promenade along the Esplanade and enjoy tales of Celtic monks, ancient Celtic giants and Irish myths and legends.

Take the steep but rewarding walk up to McCaig's Tower to enjoy the stunning views out over Oban Bay or accompany our guides on the ferry to the Isle of Kerrera and hike to the ruins of Gylen Castle.

The choice is yours and we'll always work to your level of fitness, wants and needs - and of course make allowances for the weather!
