Sitting high above the beautiful town of Oban sits McCaig’s Tower. It dominates the skyline but how much do we know about it and who built it? STV's "The People's History Show" filmed there last month in the bright April sunshine and uncovered it's emotional history.

The episode showcases cinematic visuals over Oban and describes the tower as "Oban's Crown". McCaigs Tower is just one of many much-admired filming locations which Argyll and Bute can offer film-makers and photographers looking for sites of stunning, unspoiled natural beauty.
